For this next school, we will be looking at Arcadia High School. For this development watch, we will be looking at two 2029 freshmen. With our first freshman, Ry’Shon Petit, who is second in rebounding per game for Arcadia, and our second, Shane Tull, who is 2nd in points per game, 3rd in field goal percentage, and 3rd in rebounds per game on his team.
So now let's look at the specifics for both.
Ry’Shon Pettit | Class of 2029 | Guard
Pettit is emerging as one of Arcadia’s more active and disruptive guards, particularly on the defensive end. He plays with consistent energy in the paint, using quick hands to generate both steals and timely contests. Through his early appearances, he is averaging 2.5 steals and 0.5 blocks per game, highlighting his ability to pressure ball handlers and impact possessions beyond his size at 6’0”.
Offensively, Petit is still developing his scoring efficiency. He is currently converting 33% of his attempts inside the arc, indicating room for growth as a finisher. However, he has shown promise from the perimeter, converting on all of his three-point attempts so far. As his offensive confidence and shot volume increase, continued refinement in finishing at the rim could help balance his scoring profile and expand his overall impact.

Shane Tull | Class of 2029 | Guard & Forward
Tull has emerged early as one of Arcadia’s most productive freshmen. Standing at 6’2”, he currently ranks seventh in Virginia Division 2 in points per game and fourth in total field goals made. Through three games this season, he is averaging 16.3 points per game, totaling 49 points, while also contributing one assist, 2.7 rebounds, and 0.2 blocks per contest.
Offensively, Tull is most effective when operating inside the arc. He converts 61% of his two-point attempts, showing comfort attacking the paint and finishing through contact. From the perimeter, he is shooting 21% from three, an area that presents clear room for growth as his role expands. Continued development as a consistent perimeter threat would make him more difficult to scheme against and open driving lanes for both himself and his teammates.
On the defensive end, Tull has the physical tools to increase his impact beyond positioning alone. With his height and frame, increased activity in passing lanes and stronger contests at the rim could lead to higher steal and block totals. Becoming more disruptive defensively would not only elevate his two-way value but could also earn him extended minutes and more opportunities within Arcadia’s rotation as the season progresses.
